Augmentum started a new collaboration with Welcomed, the brand name of Medici in Famiglia clinics, the first center in Milan specialising in medicine, rehabilitation, psychology, and family services, with a dedicated team focused on child and adolescent development. It provides a welcoming, home-like space where families can access multiple medical specialists and a multidisciplinary health team working together to offer comprehensive care. The three centers follows an innovative approach, ensuring people are listened to and supported throughout all stages of life. Welcomed is strongly socially oriented: 100% of its profits are reinvested into free medical services through the Visita Sospesa® initiative and into community projects in partnership with institutions, third-sector organisations, schools, and hospitals.
Visita Sospesa® is a medical-solidarity initiative by Welcomed, inspired by the Neapolitan tradition of the “suspended coffee”: you buy a coffee for yourself and, at the same time, offer one to someone who cannot afford it. Paying patients help provide timely, high-quality free healthcare to people in socioeconomic vulnerability. Visita Sospesa® is the beating heart of Welcomed’s social mission: it offers free healthcare, social-health, and social-assistance services to children and families in difficulty, and develops complementary projects aimed at supporting the social and economic inclusion of the most vulnerable groups.
The initiative relies on a broad network of over 150 partners, including Social Services, hospitals, schools, associations and third-sector organisations, foundations, as well as family paediatricians and general practitioners. These partners refer families in socioeconomic difficulty who may benefit from free visits: non-EU citizens, EU citizens without access to the National Health Service, and Italian citizens, especially children, in vulnerable conditions.
Since the launch of the initiative in 2017, more than 60,000 free medical visits have been provided, including medical appointments, psychological consultations, speech therapy or psycho-motricity sessions, assessments for specific learning disorders, and other diagnostic evaluations.

Welcomed isn’t just a clinic, it’s a community. A place where families are supported, children are nurtured, and care extends beyond the consultation room.
Augmentum takes great pride in providing financial support to this high-impact venture.
